Wow, I can't believe how long it has been since I last made a post! This time of year brings so much opportunity to get away from the desk and do things in 3-D. By that I mean in reality as opposed to on a screen.
One reason I have been so busy is I have a new addition to my home. No I didn't have a baby and you should be tarred and feathered for thinking such a thing.

I finally got my starter bike. It has it's issues and I am certain to find more as I go along. But, like any mother of a new baby I can't help but love it despite it's imperfections. Every time my friend fixes something he finds something else to add to the list. I have accepted the fact that after this summer I will have to trade her in while I still can. But I have a feeling she will not give up that easily. Like an old race horse she has memories of racing down the open highway, cutting through the wind like a sword and dropping it to the sides like sliced fruit. Sometimes I can visualize it; my shirt tail is whipping, my hair is flying back, and I am just letting her lead the way as though she already knows where to go.
Yes, I am being very dramatic, but owning and riding a bike has been on my dream list for over 35 years and now that I have actually experienced it I must say it is even better than I imagined. It's better than anti-depressants and alcohol, and at times possibly even better than sex. Like they say, "If you don't ride, you don't know!"
Now excuse my while I go search for the perfect Wonder Woman decals for my bike.
